NIGERIAN YOUTH ADVOCACY FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE INITIATIVE (NYAGGI) HONOURS PROFESSOR E. B. UZODIKE, REGISTRAR/CEO ODORBN WITH GOLDEN HUMANITARIAN SERVICE AWARD

The Registrar/CEO Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria (ODORBN) was today honoured with the GOLDEN HUMANITARIAN SERVICE AWARD.
While presenting the award, the National Co-ordinator of the youth initiative, Amb. Alabi Akeem Abiodun stated that the erudite professor of Optometry was singled out for the honour based solely on her track record of excellence in public service, noting that the organization has been following her antecedents of quintessential leadership and passion for excellence right from her days as lecturer at the Abia State University, Uturu, her commitment to the Christian faith and her outstanding performance as Registrar of the ODORBN. He stated that of the many nominations they received, she thumbed every other nominee as she is very deserving of the award and urged her to accept the award as it was not politically motivated.
The Registrar while accepting the award thanked the group for the honour. She noted that she has never met the group before and wondered how her little effort is being recognized for this huge honour. She noted that she was only carrying out her duties with utmost zeal and passion and never knew it would attract this huge recognition. She urged the youth body to shun partisanship in their activities while taking their studies and job seriously.
The Registrar was honoured in the presence of the Assistant registrar, Dr. Igbo Okafor and other management staff of the agency.
